“Let the Love Grow Round” A Success!
Posh Maternity hosted the “Let the Love Grow Round” Fashion Show, Brunch and Silent Auction on February 7, 2009. at Parlor 88 in the Galleria Eleven Shopping Center to benefit the Pregnancy Care Center and Isabel’s House Crisis Nursery. The event started with a Silent Auction at 11:00 a.m. The guests mingled and perused the multitude of silent auction items including a Medela Breast Pump valued at $329.99, a Maternal America sequin dress valued at $289.00, a boy and girl clothing collection by Ooh La La Mama valued over $400.00 and a $500.00 gift certificate from Ideal Image Laser Hair Removal, along with many, many more. Brunch provided by Parlor 88 and Dagwood’s was served just before the fashion show which started at 11:30 a.m. The show, commentated by Maria Neider, featured maternity and infant and toddler fashions. Scene one, “Stop & Smell the Flowers”, was the casual scene full of jeans and tees. Scene two, “Baby Love”, showed off Posh’s adorable infant and toddler wear. In Scene 3, “Sparkle & Shine”, the expecting models made an entrance in going out wear and evening attire. The models were working hard in Scene 4, “Lovin’ 9 to 5”, featuring career wear. The final scene, “Close to My Heart”, displayed fashionable, yet convenient nursing wear. Representatives from Pregnancy Care Center and Isabel’s House presented a short presentation about each charity immediately following the fashion show. Silent auction bid winners were announced and the door prizes began around 12:30 p.m. Door prizes included gift certificates, products for mothers and mothers-to-be, and a grand prize, Mommy Pampering Package, worth over $1,500 was given away. Overall, the event was a great success and raised $2,500 for both charities. Everyone had a great time at this fun and fashionable event and we are looking forward to making this an annual show.
